The above medium duty shaftless unwind stand was designed to unwind a nylon moisture barrier film used in the construction industry. The machines are designed to minimize the inherent dangers of handling heavy shafts that lead to operator fatigue and back injuries by eliminating shaft handling altogether.

US Webcon offers a complete line of Shaftless Center Unwind Stands and Rewind Stands to meet your production needs with numerous features and options to fit your specific requirements. The US Webcon shaftless unwind unit is designed to unwind rolls of paper, film and nonwoven product directly into the your process on a roll to roll basis. The web tension is automatically controlled using a load cell tension controller with feedback to a pneumatic brake for closed loop control. The output of the controller maintains the correct tension from the pneumatic brake changing dynamically as the product roll unwinds. A fully automatic web edge guide will unwind the web to a point determined by the edge detector with manual and servo center options.
