Economical  Cradle Let-Off Stand

Economical Series cradle let-off

A multi roll cradle let off was used to unwind rolls of the foam and feed the web to cantilevered break down winder.  This design was chosen because of the ease of loading large bulky rolls of foam.  Foam was rolled up a ramp and hinged latches captured a center shaft preventing the roll from coming out of the cradle.

US Webcon offers a complete line of stand alone "Economical Series" Cradle Let-Off Stands to meet your production needs with numerous features and options to fit your specific requirements.  The cradle let off stand shown above is designed to unwind rolls of fabric textiles and foam material directly into your process on a roll to roll basis.  A set of paddles maintains the product rolls position cross web and a mandrel with core cones maintains roll position in the web direction.  This unit included a photo electric web positioning system.

Options:

  • Electro mechanical guiding with photo or ultrasonic sensors.
  • Hinged mandrel guides.
  • Addition of belting for a driven unwind.
