Surface Driven Unwinds and Rewinds

US Webcon offers a surface driven unwind stand to meet your production needs with numerous features and options to fit your specific requirements. The above unwind was designed to pay out delicate webs that require "low cost" low tension application. This unwinder was built in mind with replacing expensive center driven unwinds that require sophisticated drives, programming, and tension control systems. Since the web is surface driven off the unwind stand large amounts of expensive programming are not required to perform roll build down functions of a center unwind. The unwind can have load cell control for finer tension control or a vector drive with closed loop feedback from an encoder on the motor can follow a line speed signal from the process line and perform simple accurate draw control.

• Rigid structural steel tubing construction ofr 24/7 operation.
• Low cost low tension application.
• Rolls are center supported and side driven to prevent the product roll from unwinding from the inside out forming loose web at the intersection of the product roll and bedroll.
• Optional electro mechanical guiding with photo or ultrasonic sensors.
• Closed loop load cell or dancer tension control available.
