Low Tension Dual Carriage Web Accumulator

Low Tension Dual Carriage Web Accumulator

The above Accumulator was constructed as a dual carriage unit designed to accumulate web at very low tensions using a set of motor driven carriages trimmed by load cells or a dancer.

US Webcon offers a line of Low Tension Web Accumulators to meet your production needs with numerous features and options to fit your specific requirements. This accumulator uses a set of motor driven carriages mounted in a vertically operated framework. The frames are mechanically coupled together so that they counter balance each other. The carriages follow line speed and are trimmed to maintain tension using load cells or a dancer.

Self Threading Web Accumulator

The closed position is shown for pass thru self threading centered vertically in the framework.

Carriage opening within the accumulator

The carriages are shown partially open after the accumulation rolls have passed thru each other.
